Walk The Talk

The latest example of the Harper government's do as I say, not as I do approach. Actually worse than the Liberals? Shocking.

I read the article referred to this morning and thought, they have now contravened, everything, they said during the last election. How is it that his supporters still support him?

If the leader of the Liberal party, suddenly shifted like that, there is not a hope in hell I'd support him, let alone defend him.

It's something I just do not get, yet I suppose they are so desperate to maintain power, they believe it must be done.

Imagine compromising yourself that way, all the while claiming that you are principled and accountable? What a joke.

They almost set themselves up for the fall, with these pius claims of moral superiority. Actually, that posture is one of things I find most unattractive about Conservatives in GENERAL. The Tom Delay, Rush Limbaugh syndrome, where they crucify everyone else, then are faced with their own flawed existence.

Harper put himself on such a pedestal, that they were bound to fall. It must be hard for Conservative supporters to acknowledge their leadership is just like those dirty Liberals.

KNB asks,
"How is it that his supporters still support him?"
Therein lies the rub for Liberals, particularly in Quebec and Ontario.
